Delivery & Returns Policy
Last updated: 16th August 2026
Thank you for shopping with Samantha Moller-Bowden.
I want every purchase to be straightforward and enjoyable, so this policy explains how cancellations, returns and refunds work when you purchase from my website.
This policy applies to purchases made through the Samantha Moller-Bowden website. It does not affect any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.
1. About Your Order
Samantha Moller-Bowden is a sole trader business based in Scotland.
Business name: Samantha Moller-Bowden
Email: smbowden@gmail.com
Business address: 13 Duthie Road, Tarves, Aberdeenshire, AB41 7JX
You can contact me by email regarding orders, cancellations, returns, refunds or any other questions about your purchase.
2. Your Right to Cancel an Online Order
If you are a consumer purchasing online, you normally have a statutory 14-day right to cancel a purchase without giving a reason.
For physical goods, the 14-day cancellation period begins on the day after you, or someone you have nominated (other than the delivery carrier), receives the goods.
If your order contains several items delivered separately, the cancellation period normally runs from the day after you receive the final item.
If you wish to cancel, please email:
within the 14-day cancellation period.
You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.
You do not need to give a reason for cancelling.
3. Returning an Item
Returned items should be sent back promptly and, where possible, in their original packaging.
You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the item while it is in your possession.
You may handle an item as you reasonably would in a shop to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning. However, you may be responsible for any reduction in the item's value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it.
Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the cost of returning an unwanted item under the statutory cancellation right.
For larger or bulky items, including furniture, any applicable return costs or arrangements will be explained before purchase where they cannot reasonably be returned by ordinary post.
4. Refunds
Once you have cancelled your order and returned the goods, I will issue your refund without undue delay.
I will normally refund you within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, or earlier where appropriate.
The refund will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.
If you cancel your entire order under the statutory cancellation right, I will also refund the cost of the standard delivery option you originally paid for.
If you chose a more expensive delivery service, I am not required to refund the additional cost above the standard delivery charge.
5. Items That Cannot Be Cancelled Under the 14-Day Right
Certain products are excluded from the statutory right to cancel.
This may include:
Personalised or made-to-order items
Items that have been made or personalised specifically to your requirements may not be eligible for cancellation once production has begun, where the law permits this exception.
This can include items made to a customer's specific measurements, specifications or personalisation.
Digital downloads
Digital content supplied by download may be excluded from the statutory 14-day cancellation right once you have agreed to the digital content being supplied immediately and acknowledged that you will lose your cancellation right once supply begins.
The relevant consent and acknowledgement will be obtained before the digital content is supplied.
Other exempt products - Where a particular product falls within another statutory exception to the right to cancel, this will be made clear before purchase.
6. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Your statutory consumer rights are not affected by this policy.
If an item arrives:
-
faulty
-
damaged
-
significantly different from its description
-
or the wrong item has been supplied
Please contact me as soon as possible at: smbowden@gmail.com
Please include your order details and, where appropriate, photographs showing the damage or problem.
I will work with you to resolve the issue in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.
You are not required to pay return postage for an item that is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied where you are entitled to a remedy under consumer law.
7. Handmade, Vintage and Upcycled Items
Many Samantha Moller-Bowden pieces are handmade, upcycled, vintage, antique or made using previously existing materials.
Where an item is intentionally vintage, antique, upcycled or pre-loved, its description and photographs will explain its condition and any relevant characteristics before purchase.
Normal characteristics of vintage or previously used materials — such as variations in colour, texture, patina, minor marks or signs of age — are not necessarily faults where they have been accurately described.
However, this does not affect your statutory rights if an item is not as described or does not meet the required legal standards.
8. Local Collection
Local collection may be available by prior arrangement.
If you choose to collect an order, the collection address and arrangements will be provided directly once collection has been agreed.
The statutory cancellation and consumer rights described in this policy continue to apply to goods purchased online, including where those goods are subsequently collected.
9. Delivery
Our standard delivery charges and estimated delivery information are provided separately on our Delivery & Shipping page and, where applicable, at checkout.
Please see:
for information about delivery charges, estimated delivery times, local collection and larger-item delivery.
10. Changes to an Order
If you need to change or cancel an order before it has been dispatched, please contact me as soon as possible at:
I will do my best to accommodate changes where the order has not already been prepared, dispatched or made specifically to your requirements.
This does not affect your statutory cancellation rights.
